Weather Situation A high pressure ridge extends from Queensland to the Northern Territory, while a weak trough will move slowly north across the southern half of the Territory during Tuesday. This trough will be followed by a high pressure system moving across the Bight and will maintain the high pressure ridge across the Northern Territory for the first half of the week. A strong trough will develop over WA and move into the Lasseter District later on Thursday with warm to hot and very windy conditions followed by a cooler change over southern parts of the Territory later this week.
