    Moderate Flood Warning For The Georgina River And Eyre Creek

    MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GLENGYLE THIS WEEKEND
     MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT MARION DOWNS AND BEDOURIE
     MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT GLENGYLE
     Widespread rainfall totals were recorded in the upper Georgina River and Eyre Creek catchments in late March which has caused elevated river levels and flooding across the catchment. River and creek levels will remain elevated and flooding will continue as the floodwaters continue to slowly move downstream.
     No significant rainfall has been recorded since early April. No significant rainfall totals are expected over the next few days.
    
    Georgina River to Marion Downs:
    Moderate flooding is occurring along the Georgina River to Marion Downs.
    The Georgina River at Marion Downs is currently at 4.15 metres and rising slowly, with moderate flooding.
    The Georgina River at Marion Downs is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) for the next few days.
    
    Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
    River levels are elevated along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs.
    Eyre Creek:
    Moderate flooding is occurring along the Eyre Creek.
    The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 4.08 metres and steady, with moderate flooding.
    The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) for the next few days.
    
    No recent creek level observations are available for Eyre Creek at Glengyle. At 9:00 am on Friday, the Eyre Creek at Glengyle was at 2.95 metres and steady, above the minor flood level (2.00 m).
    The Eyre Creek at Glengyle may reach the moderate flood level (3.00 m) this weekend as floodwaters continue to arrive from upstream.
