MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING ALONG EYRE CREEK
MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING ALONG GEORGINA RIVER TO MARION DOWNS
No significant rainfall has been recorded over the last few days and no significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.
A minor flood peak along the Georgina River has passed Marion Downs during Sunday, while a separate flood peak is moving along Eyre Creek around Bedourie.
Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Minor flooding is continuing along the Georgina River to Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is currently at 3.25 metres and falling, above the minor flood level (3.00 m).
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) during Monday and into Tuesday.
Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
River levels are expected to remain elevated along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs as floodwaters continue to move through the Georgina River.
Eyre Creek:
Moderate flooding is continuing along Eyre Creek to Glengyle .
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 4.01 metres and falling slowly, just above the moderate flood level (4.00 m).
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain around the moderate flood level for the next few days, with renewed rises and further moderate flooding likely later this week.
No current river level observations are available for Eyre Creek at Glengyle, however the creek level is likely to be around the moderate flood level (3.00 m).
Eyre Creek at Glengyle may remain around the moderate flood level over the next few days, as floodwaters continue to arrive from upstream.
