    MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BEGA FROM OVERNIGHT FRIDAY WITH FORECAST RAINFALL
     Moderate rainfall since Thursday morning has caused river level rises across the Bega River catchment. Further heavy rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Friday, which may cause further river level rises. Minor flooding may develop at Bega from Friday evening with forecast rainfall.
     The situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
     A Severe Weather Warning is current for the Bega River catchment.
    
    Bega River:
    Minor flooding may occur along the Bega River.
    
    The Bega River at Bega North is currently at 1.20 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (4.60 m).
    The Bega River at Bega North may reach the minor flood level (4.60 m) overnight Friday into Saturday with forecast rainfall. Further river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
    
    Flood Safety Advice:
    In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
     * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
     * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
     * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
     * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
