    Valid for Thursday 07 November 2024 to Sunday 10 November 2024
    
    Warning for the following areas:
    Gulf Country, Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, North West, Channel Country, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt, Wide Bay and Burnett and Southeast Coast
    
    Safety Advice:
     Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
     Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
     Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
     If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
    
    Maximum temperatures in the high thirties to low forties. Overnight minimum temperatures in the mid to high twenties, tending mid teens to low twenties in the southeast districts. 
    
    Severe heatwave conditions are expected to ease in the southeast over the weekend, but remain over central and northern parts of the state for the remainder of the week.  Locations likely to be impacted include Brisbane Metropolitan Area, Cloncurry, Charleville, Dalby, Georgetown, Goondiwindi, Longreach, Roma, Stanthorpe and Winton.
    
    The next heatwave warning will be issued by 3:00pm EST on Friday 08 November 2024
