MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLY OCCURRING AT MURRAY FLATS
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT EURAMO FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON
Moderate flooding is possibly occurring at Murray Flats, where river levels are estimated to be falling.
Following an additional peak on Thursday, minor flooding is no longer occurring at Euramo. Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days, which may cause renewed or prolonged flooding depending on the location of the heaviest falls. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as necessary.
Tully River:
Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Tully River.
The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 5.90 metres and slowly falling, just below the minor flood level (6.00 metres).
Renewed rises to the minor flood level (6.00 metres) are possible along the Tully River at Euramo from Saturday afternoon and into Sunday with forecast rainfall.
Murray River:
Moderate flooding is possibly occurring along the Murray River.
No recent observations are available for the Murray River at Murray Flats. However, based on upstream gauges, it is possible that the river level is above the moderate flood level (7.50 metres).
The Murray River at Murray Flats may remain above the moderate flood level (7.50 m) for the remainder of Saturday into Sunday.

Flooding in North Queensland catchments during December 2023 damaged high priority river gauges that support the Bureau of Meteorology to provide high accuracy flood forecasts. While river gauges are being repaired, the Bureau will continue to issue flood watches and warnings for these catchments using the best available data.
