Weather Situation A ridge extends into the Territory from a high pressure system in the Bight that is directing drier air across most of the Territory. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be confined to the coasts due to the drier air. As a result of clearer conditions, a severe intensity heatwave will continue across the Top End this week. Temperatures gradually increasing in the south for the remainder of the week as another trough becomes established over WA. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 13 November A slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the Daly District. Possible raised dust south of Elliott. Moderate east to southeast winds south of Elliott.
