Weather Situation A trough has moved northwards from South Australia into the Tanami and northern Simpson Districts, with a cooler southerly change developing over southern parts of the Territory today. A high pressure ridge also extends from Queensland to northern parts the Territory and is directing dry easterly winds across the Top End. This ridge will strengthen on Wednesday as a high pressure system moves across southeastern Australia, then weaken from Thursday as the high moves into the Tasman Sea.
