Weather Situation A trough will persist across the Tanami and northern Barkly Districts for much of the week. Showers and thunderstorms will become more isolated across the Top End over the next couple of days as dry air extends over the Top End. Tropical Cyclone Trevor over the northern Coral Sea is expected to enter the Gulf of Carpentaria on Wednesday. There is some uncertainty with regard to the movement of the system, however it is currently expected to move west or southwest through the Gulf of Carpentaria towards the Northern Territory later in the week.
