Weather Situation The monsoon trough is located near the base of the Top End, with a weak tropical low embedded within it over the Carpentaria District. The low is expected to slowly move west over the next few days. Monsoonal showers and storms continuing across the north with areas of rain. Heavy falls are possible near the base of the Top End and Carpentaria District which may lead to localised flooding and significant stream rises. A hot, drier easterly flow extends across the southern half of the Territory with showers and storms spreading south later in the week as the flow turns more northeasterly and moisture increases.
