Initial Minor Flood Warning For The King River

MINOR FLOODING MAY DEVELOP AT DOCKER ROAD BRIDGE FRIDAY EVENING
Minor flooding may develop along the King River at Docker Road Bridge from Friday evening.
In the 24 hours to midday Friday, rainfall totals of up to 30 mm have been recorded in the King River catchment. Further rainfall totals of up to 10 mm are forecast for the reminder of Friday into Saturday.
King River:
Minor flooding is likely along the King River.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is currently at 3.32 metres and rising.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is likely to reach the minor flood level (3.70 m) Friday evening. The river level may peak near 3.85 metres Saturday morning.
Flood Safety Advice:
SES advises that all community members should:
Never walk, ride or drive through floodwater,
Never allow children to play in floodwater,
Stay away from waterways and stormwater drains during and after heavy rain,
Keep well clear of fallen power lines
Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks, and heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads.}
