Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Huon River

MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE AT TAHUNE BRIDGE, JUDBURY AND HUONVILLE FRIDAY MORNING
 Rainfall over the Huon River catchment is likely to result in river level rises. Minor flooding is possible during Friday morning with forecast rainfall. Further showers and areas of locally heavy falls are possible.  

Huon River - Tahune to Judbury:
Minor flooding is possible along the Huon River Tahune to Judbury.
The Huon River at Tahune Bridge is currently at 1.95 m AHD and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Huon River at Tahune Bridge may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m AHD) Friday morning. 

The Huon River at Judbury is currently at 1.69 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Huon River at Judbury may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Friday morning. 

Huon River around Huonville:
Minor flooding is possible along the Huon River around Huonville.
The Huon River at Huonville is currently at 1.40 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Huon River at Huonville may exceed the minor flood level (3.00 m) Friday morning. 

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
 Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
 Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
 Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
