    Minor Flood Warning For The Macquarie River 
    Issued at 10:55 AM EDT on Sunday 17 October 2021

    MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT ROSS DURING SUNDAY
     Minor flooding is continuing at Ross during Sunday. Minor flooding is likely to develop downstream around Cressy Pumps Monday evening.
     No significant rainfall has been recorded up to 9:00 am Sunday. No further significant rainfall is forecast during the next few days in the Macquarie River catchment.
     Strong and dangerous flows will be a hazard over the next few days.
    
    Macquarie River above Mt Morriston:
    Minor flooding has eased along the Macquarie River above Mt Morriston.
    Tooms Lake is full and spilling, with minor flooding (spillway at 4.4 metres is the minor flood level).
    
    The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston is currently at 1.20 metres and steady.
    The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.50 m) during Sunday.
    
    Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River.
    No automatic data are available from the Macquarie River at Ross. Available information indicates that the Macquarie River at Ross is likely to have peaked at around 2.33 metres late Saturday morning, with minor flooding. Most recent information (early Sunday morning) indicates that the river is currently around 2.20 metres and steady.
    The Macquarie River at Ross is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Sunday.
    
    Elizabeth River:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River.
    Lake Leake is currently at 5.38 metres and steady, with minor flooding. Lake Leake is expected to remain above the minor flood level (5.00 m) over coming days.
    
    The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is currently at 0.58 metres and steady.
    The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is expected to remain below the minor flood level during Sunday.
    
    Isis River:
    River levels will remain elevated along the Isis River during Sunday.
    Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River:
    Minor flooding has eased along the Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River.
    The Macquarie River at Morningside is currently at 3.20 metres and falling.
    The Macquarie River at Morningside is likely to remain below the minor flood level (3.50 m) during Sunday.
    
    Lake River:
    River levels remain elevated along the Lake River during Sunday.
    Brumbys Creek:
    River levels remain elevated along the Brumbys Creek during Sunday.
    Macquarie River - Lake River to Longford:
    Minor flooding may occur along the Macquarie River - Lake River to Longford.
    The Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps is currently at 2.07 metres and steady.
    The Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps may exceed the minor flood level (3.00 m) Monday evening. The river level may peak near 3.50 metres Tuesday morning.
