Initial Minor Flood Warning For The South Esk River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT FINGAL WEDNESDAY EVENING
Moderate rainfall has been observed in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Wednesday across much of the South Esk River catchment. This rainfall has resulted in river level rises in the Upper South Esk catchment. Minor flooding is possible at Fingal Wednesday evening.
South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn:
Minor flooding is possible along the South Esk River at Fingal.
The South Esk River at Fingal is currently at 3.30 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The South Esk River at Fingal may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) Wednesday evening. The river may remain around the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Thursday morning.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
