    Major Flood Warning For The Condamine And Balonne Rivers

    MAJOR FLOODING CONTINUES ALONG THE CONDAMINE RIVER BETWEEN RANGES BRIDGE AND CONDAMINE TOWNSHIP.
     MAJOR FLOODING IS RISING ALONG BALONNE RIVER AT WARKON AND SURAT.
     Multiple flood peaks from separate rainfall events over the last few weeks continue to move through the Condamine-Balonne River system with further renewed rises occurring from recent rainfall.
     Showers and thunderstorms are likely from Tuesday onwards, which may cause renewed river level rises and areas of renewed flooding from mid-week.
    
    Condamine River downstream of Warwick to Loudoun Bridge:
    Flood levels are easing along the Condamine River to Loudoun Bridge. Major flood levels at Loudoun Bridge are expected to be above the level of the bridge and falling slowly.
    The Condamine River at Tummaville is currently at 3.87 metres and steady.
    The Condamine River at Tummaville is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m) during Monday.
    
    The Condamine River at Cecil Plains is currently at 7.17 metres and steady, with moderate flooding.
    The Condamine River at Cecil Plains is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (7.00 m) during Monday.
    
    Condamine River downstream of Loudoun Bridge to Cotswold:
    Major flooding is occurring along the Condamine River downstream of Loudoun Bridge, with the flood peak around Condamine during Monday.
    The Condamine River at Ranges Bridge was last observed at 7.80 metres Sunday morning. The river level is expected to have peaked around 9.50 metres during Saturday and to have started to ease during Monday morning, with major flooding.
    The Condamine River at Ranges Bridge is expected to remain above the major flood level (7.00 m) over the next few days.
    
    The Condamine River at Chinchilla Weir peaked at 12.71 metres around midday Sunday and is currently at 12.61 metres and steady.
    The Condamine River at Chinchilla Weir is expected to remain above the major flood level (10.00 m) over the next few days.
    
    The Condamine River at Condamine is currently at 12.15 metres and steady, with major flooding.
    The river level is currently peaking around the current level, this is above the flood peak of 11.7 m recorded in February 2013 and significantly below the flood peak of 15.25 m recorded in January 2011. The Condamine River at Condamine is expected to remain above the major flood level (8.00 m) during the next few days as upstream floodwaters continue to arrive.
    
    Charleys Creek:
    Flooding is easing along the Charleys Creek.
    The Charleys Creek at Chinchilla is currently at 3.82 metres and falling.
    The Charleys Creek at Chinchilla is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Monday.
    
    Dogwood Creek:
    River levels continue to ease along Dogwood Creek.
    Balonne River to Surat:
    Major flooding is rising along the Balonne River to Surat.
    No river level observations are available on the Balonne River at Warkon but the river level is expected to be above the major flood level (9.00 m).
    The Balonne River at Warkon is likely to remain above the major flood level (9.00 m) during Monday and for the next few days. A peak forecast will be provided once upstream peaks have been observed.
    
    The Balonne River at Surat is currently at 10.99 metres and rising, with major flooding.
    The Balonne River at Surat is likely to continue rising above the major flood level (9.00 m) during Monday and for the next few days. A peak forecast will be provided once upstream peaks have been observed.
    
    Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam:
    River level rises are occurring along the Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam.
    The Balonne River at Waroo is currently at 7.60 metres and rising (below minor flooding).
    The Balonne River at Warroo is expected to exceed the minor flood level (9.00 m) during Tuesday.
    
    Maranoa River:
    Small renewed river level rises are likely over the next few days, but are expected to remain below minor flood levels.
    Balonne River downstream of Beardmore Dam:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Balonne River downstream of Beardmore Dam.
    No river level observations are available for the Balonne River at St George (manual gauge). However based on the nearby automatic station, river levels at St George (manual gauge) are expected to be above the minor flood level and rising.
    The Balonne River at St George is likely to remain above the minor flood level (6.00 m) during Monday. Further river rises are expected along the Balonne River during the next few days.
    
    The Balonne River Minor at Dirranbandi is currently at 3.40 metres and rising.
    The Balonne River Minor at Dirranbandi is likely to reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Tuesday.
    
    No river level observations are available for the Balonne River at Hebel (manual gauge). However based on upstream gauges, river levels are likely to be above the minor flood level and rising.
    The Bokhara River at Hebel is likely to remain above the minor flood level (1.00 m) during Monday and will continue to rise slowly.
