    Minor Flood Warning For The Lower Brisbane River

    MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING ALONG PARTS OF THE LOWER BRISBANE RIVER, WITH A PEAK AROUND THE MINOR FLOOD LEVEL OCCURRING ON THE OVERNIGHT HIGH TIDE AT BRISBANE CITY
     Flooding is continuing across the lower Brisbane River following heavy rainfall during last week.
     Further shower activity is expected over the next few days, with the possibility of more significant rainfall from Friday. The situation will continue to be monitored closely and further warnings will be issued as required.
    
    Brisbane River downstream of Wivenhoe Dam:
    Areas of minor flooding continue along the Brisbane River downstream of Wivenhoe Dam.
    The Brisbane River at Lowood is expected to be above the minor flood level (8.00 m) and steady.
    The Brisbane River at Lowood is expected to remain steady above the minor flood level (8.00 m) for the next few days. The river level is expected to begin easing during Thursday afternoon.
    
    The Brisbane River at Mt Crosby is currently at 11.24 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
    The Brisbane River at Mt Crosby is expected to remain above the minor flood level (11.00 m) and relatively steady during Thursday. The river level is expected to begin easing from early Friday.
    
    The Brisbane River at Moggill is currently at 4.45 metres (below minor) and falling with the tide.
    The river level at Moggill is expected to remain elevated over the next few days, but will remain well below the minor flood level (10.00 m).
    
    The Brisbane River at Jindalee is expected to be below the minor flood level (6.00 m).
    The river level at Jindalee is expected to ease over the next few days, but will remain well below the minor flood level (6.00 m).
    
    The Brisbane River at Brisbane City is currently at 0.03 metres and rising with the tide.
    Renewed rises will occur above the minor flood level (1.70 m) overnight Thursday into Friday morning (00:30 am). A peak below the minor flood level is expected on this mornings high tide. Further flood peaks from Friday morning will be below the minor flood level. Flood peaks in this event will be significantly lower than the peaks observed in February and March, which reached 3.85 metres at Brisbane City.
