    Minor Flood Warning For The Coffs Creek

    RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT COFFS HARBOUR THURSDAY MORNING
     Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded across the Coffs Creek catchment since Tuesday, resulting in water level rises. Minor flooding peaked at Coffs Harbour during Wednesday morning, where water levels have since fallen below the minor flood level. Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Wednesday and into Thursday, where there is the possibility of renewed minor flooding at Coffs Harbour during Thursday morning.
     A Severe Weather Warning for heavy, locally intense rainfall is current for parts of the Mid North Coast and parts of Northern Rivers, Northern Tablelands and Hunter Forecast Districts.
     The situation is being closely monitored, and the warning will be updated as required
    
    Coffs Creek:
    Renewed minor flooding may occur along the Coffs Creek.
    
    The Coffs Creek at Coffs Harbour peaked at 3.18 metres around 09:45 am Wednesday 21 May and is currently at 2.85 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (3.00 metres).
    Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Coffs Creek at Coffs Harbour. Water levels may reach the minor flood level (3.00 m) Thursday morning with forecast rainfall.
    
    Flood Safety Advice:

     * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
     * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
     * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
     * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
