    Minor To Major Flood Warning For The Manning And Gloucester Rivers

    MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GLOUCESTER TUESDAY MORNING
     MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WINGHAM AND TAREE FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON
     MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT CROKI WHARF FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON
     Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across the Manning and Gloucester River catchments over the next few days. This is likely to result in river and creek level rises, where minor to major flooding is possible along the Gloucester River at Gloucester from overnight Monday into Tuesday and minor to moderate flooding along the Manning River at Wingham from Tuesday morning.
     A Flood Watch and a Severe Weather Warning are current for the Manning and Gloucester Rivers.
     The situation is being closely monitored, and the warning will be update as required.
    
    Gloucester River:
    Major flooding may occur along the Gloucester River.
    The Gloucester River at Gloucester is currently at 1.62 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (4.30 m).
    The Gloucester River at Gloucester may exceed the minor flood level (4.30 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. The river level may exceed the moderate flood level (4.90 m) Tuesday morning and may reach the major flood level (5.20 m) late Tuesday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
    
    Manning River:
    Moderate flooding may occur along the Manning River.
    The Manning River at Wingham is currently at 1.28 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (4.90 m).
    The Manning River at Wingham may exceed the minor flood level early Tuesday morning. The river level may reach the moderate flood level (8.90 m) Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
    
    The Manning River at Taree is currently at 0.81 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (1.80 m).
    The Manning River at Taree may exceed the minor flood level (1.80 m) early Tuesday afternoon. The river level may reach the moderate flood level (2.40 m) late Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
    
    The Manning River at Croki Wharf is currently at 0.74 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (1.50 m).
    The Manning River at Croki Wharf may reach the minor flood level (1.50 m) early Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
    
    Flood Safety Advice:
    In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
     * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
     * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
     * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
     * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
