Instability northern areas of the country within a broad area of low pressure is producing a few showers & storms. Scattered showers extend across western Tas following a cold front. Onshore winds directed by high pressure bring a couple of showers along the east Qld coast.

An area of instability will persist over southern Qld bringing scattered thunderstorms. Onshore winds will bring a few showers to coastal Qld. Showers and storms are expected for central and northern parts of WA as well as northern NT. Elsewhere, it will remain dry and clear.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over parts of northern NSW and southern Qld. Onshore winds will bring showers to Tas, southern Vic and eastern Qld. A few thunderstorms are likely for the northern Top End and northern WA.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across eastern NSW, southeast Qld & the northern tropics as hot air feeds areas of moisture and instability. High pressure may send onshore showers to southwest WA, Vic and Tas, possibly heavy in Tas, whilst keeping elsewhere dry.
