Marcus is moving away from the Kimberley coast. There is no further threat of
gales on the coast.
Warning zone: None.
Watch zone: None.
Cancelled zone: Cockatoo Island to Beagle Bay
Details of Severe Tropical Cyclone Marcus at 8:00 pm AWST:
Intensity: Category 3, sustained winds near the centre of 130 kilometres per
hour with wind gusts to 185 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 35 kilometres of 15.5 degrees South 121.2 degrees East,
estimated to be 210 kilometres west northwest of Cape Leveque and 295
kilometres north northwest of Broome.
Movement: west at 26 kilometres per hour.
Marcus is tracking steadily towards the west. Marcus is a Category 3 severe
tropical cyclone and is likely to continue to intensify over the next two days
as it moves further away from the WA coast.
GALES with gusts to 100 kilometres per hour are no longer expected over coastal
parts of the northwest Kimberley.
HEAVY RAIN over the coastal northwest Kimberley will ease as Marcus moves

DFES advises of the following community alerts:
ALL CLEAR: People in communities from Cockatoo Island to Beagle Bay are advised
that wind and storm surge dangers have passed.
People needing SES assistance can call 132 500. In a life threatening situation
call 000. For more safety tips visit www.emergency.wa.gov.au.
No further TC Advices will be issued for this system, however Forecast Tack
Maps will continue to be available.
