Weather Situation A high pressure system east of Queensland extends a weak ridge across northern parts of the Territory, while a series of of troughs move through southern Australia over the coming days. This will maintain hot northwesterly winds over southern and central parts of the Territory into the weekend, with temperatures rising up to 10 degrees above average in some areas. Forecast for the rest of Friday 22 September Mostly sunny apart from a slight chance of showers about the north and west coasts. Light to moderate east to northeast winds, tending fresh and gusty north to northwesterly south of Barrow Creek during the day.
