Northern Territory Forecast Issued at 5:03 am CST on Friday 20 April 2018 for the period until midnight CST Monday 23 April 2018. Warning Information For latest warnings go to www.bom.gov.au, subscribe to RSS feeds, call 1300 659 214* or listen for warnings on relevant TV and radio broadcasts. Weather Situation A high in the Tasman Sea directs an easterly flow across the Top End, becoming drier over the next few days and contracting showers to northern coastal areas. A warm airmass remains over the northern half of the Territory with near record daytime temperatures, particularly over inland parts of the Top End. A weak cloud band over the far southwest of the Territory will weaken over the weekend. Temperatures also well above average in the south as the retreating high directs warmer northeasterly winds through central Australia. Forecast for the rest of Friday 20 April A slight to medium chance of showers and thunderstorms over the Top End, mainly near the coasts.
