Weather Situation A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a weak ridge across northern parts of the Territory, while a series of troughs and cold fronts will move across southern Australia over the coming days. This will maintain hot northwesterly winds over southern and central parts of the Territory into next week, with temperatures up to 10 degrees above average in some areas. A cloud band and some rain are expected to develop over southern parts around middle of next week, and together with a southwest change will finally bring cooler temperatures.
