    Minor Flood Warning For The Murrumbidgee River

    MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT NARRANDERA AND DARLINGTON POINT
     Recent rainfall has caused river level rises along the Murrumbidgee River with minor flooding occurring at Narrandera and Darlington Point. Levels at Darlington Point peaked on Monday, levels at Narrandera are peaking as of Tuesday morning.
     Renewed river level rises have been observed along the Murrumbidgee River upstream at Gundagai and Wagga Wagga. These are expected to cause further renewed rises at downstream locations.
     Carrathool is expected to remain below the minor flood level.
     Predictions for downstream locations including Hay Town will be provided once upstream peaks are observed.
    
    Murrumbidgee River downstream of Wagga Wagga to Narrandera:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Murrumbidgee River downstream of Wagga Wagga to Narrandera.
    The Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera is currently peaking around the minor flood level of 6.70 metres.
    
    Murrumbidgee River downstream of Narrandera to Darlington Point:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Murrumbidgee River downstream of Narrandera at Darlington Point.
    The Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point peaked at 5.78 metres around 2:00 pm Monday 29 November and is currently at 5.76 metres and steady, above the minor flood level of 5.50 metres.
    
    Flood Safety Advice:

     * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
     * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
     * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
