Weather Situation Tropical Cyclone Trevor is moving into the western Gulf of Carpentaria and is forecast to move west to southwest across the Gulf of Carpentaria during Thursday and Friday, while intensifying. It is expected to cross the southwest Gulf of Carpentaria or eastern Arnhem coastline during Saturday as a severe tropical cyclone before moving inland over central parts of the NT during the weekend. Ahead of the tropical cyclone, showers and thunderstorms will be isolated across the Top End, while in the south mostly clear skies will result in a continuation of very hot conditions.
