A weak tropical low, located to the north of the Top End, is expected to move westwards across the Timor Sea, away from the Top End. Increasing showers and thunderstorms, with areas of rain are expected across northern Top End, in the north as the monsoon trough develops and moves closer to the north coast by mid-week. A low intensity heatwave will continue across the southern and central districts this week as weak troughs in the hot east to northeast flow cause very isolated shower and thunderstorm activity, mainly in the west.
