Weather Situation Heatwave conditions across the Territory will persist for most of the week. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue north of a trough lying over central districts in the humid northwesterly flow, though showers and storms will mainly be in the northwest. Another trough over WA is bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms along the western border. These showers and storms will extend across most of the NT by late in the week as troughs move into the southern districts, allowing the more humid air to move south.
