Weather Situation A weak ridge along the Queensland coast directs a southeast to northeasterly flow throughout the Territory. Temperatures increasing in the south as winds turn more northerly ahead of a weak trough located over southern parts of the Territory. The ridge over central Australia begins to strengthen and helps to push the trough northwards bringing cooler conditions over southern and central parts of the Territory on the weekend. Forecast for the rest of Thursday 16 August Clear. Light winds. Forecast for Friday 17 August Sunny. Patchy morning fog in the eastern Arnhem, Carpentaria and northwest Daly Districts.
