Weather Situation A high pressure system over southeastern Australia will move east and weaken today. It will become warmer in the south as winds tend northerly ahead of a trough that moves across southern districts on Saturday. On Sunday, a new high pressure system will move into the Great Australia Bight and extend a ridge into central Australia. This ridge will direct a surge of southeasterly winds northwards, reaching the Top End by the middle of next week. Forecast for the rest of Friday 23 August Clear. Light to moderate east to southeast winds, tending northeast to northwest south of Barrow Creek.
