Weather Situation A cloud band is strengthening across the southwest of the Northern Territory. The cloud band will bring rain and the chance of thunderstorms, which will extend throughout the southern parts on Tuesday before clearing by Wednesday. A weak ridge extending from Queensland into the eastern Top End is directing humid east to northeast winds across the north of the Territory. Another ridge is slowly strengthening over central Australia, which will send a surge of southeasterly winds into central districts and will result in slightly drier conditions across the Top End this week.
