Weather Situation A ridge over central Australia directing moderate to fresh and drier flow through much of the Territory is weakening. A more humid easterly flow returns in the north as the Queensland ridge builds this week, resulting in showers about the coasts of the Top End. Mostly sunny conditions prevailing elsewhere in the Territory. In the south, mild to warm temperatures expected before the next trough arrives from WA later in the week and winds turn northerly. A patchy cloud band is expected to develop with the arrival of this trough. Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 25 September A slight chance of showers over the Tiwi Islands, west and northeast coasts of the Top End.
