Weather Situation A weak trough extends across the Timor Sea and into the Arafura Sea, and is expected to develop into a monsoon trough early next week. A weak tropical low, located to the north of the Top End, is expected to move westwards across the Timor Sea early next week, away from the Top End. Increasing showers and thunderstorms are expected on the north coast next week as the monsoon trough develops and moves closer to the north coast. Another trough is moving northwards into the southern Barkly and Tanami districts and is causing a slightly cooler southerly change over southern parts of the NT.
