Final Flood Warning for the Ord River

Issued at 10:45 am WST on Friday 17 February 2017
Flood Warning Number: 12

River rises have been observed in the last few days and renewed river rises are
possible in the Ord River catchment. However widespread flooding is not
expected for the outlook period.

No significant rainfall has been recorded in the 24 hours to 9am Friday in the
catchment.

No significant widespread rainfall is forecast for the Ord River catchment in
the next 24 hours.

Ord River downstream of Lake Argyle:
River levels downstream of Lake Argyle are expected to remain below minor flood
levels during Friday and continue to fall on Saturday.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and
be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers
need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel
plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and
velocity.
