Moderate Flood Warning for the Thomson River and Cooper Creek

Moderate flood levels are expected to be occurring in the Cooper Creek at
No significant rainfall is expected over the next few days.
Minor to moderate flood levels continue along the Thomson River downstream from
Longreach, with the flood peak currently in the Stonehenge area on Monday
Observations from Stonehenge manual station are unavailable but based on
heights from the Stonehenge automatic station, river levels are expected to be
just below the moderate flood level (3.00 metres) during Monday morning. The
Thomson River at Stonehenge is expected to remain above the minor flood level
(2.00 m) during Monday.
The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 3.85 metres and rising. The river
level at Jundah may exceed the moderate flood level (4.00 m) during Monday.
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Cooper Creek.
Observations from Windorah manual station are unavailable, but river levels are
expected to be above the moderate flood level (4.00 metres) and rising during
Monday morning. The creek level at Windorah is expected to remain above the
moderate flood level (4.00 m) during Monday.
