Final Flood Warning for the Moonie River

Issued at 10:34 am EST on Saturday 25 March 2017
Flood Warning Number: 12

River levels on the Moonie River at Nindigully Bridge have eased below the
minor flood level overnight Friday.

No significant rainfall is expected over the next few days.

Moonie River downstream of Flinton:
No further flooding is expected in the Moonie River downstream of Flinton.

The Moonie River at Nindigully is currently at 2.19 metres and falling. The
Moonie River at Nindigully is expected to remain below the minor flood level
(2.20 m) and continue easing throughout the weekend.

The Moonie River at Thallon Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood
level (4.00 m), and continue to slowly ease throughout the weekend

Flood Safety Advice:
Remember: If it's flooded, forget it. For flood emergency assistance contact
the SES on 132 500. For life threatening emergencies, call Triple Zero (000)
immediately.
