Weather Situation The monsoon trough is located near the base of the Top End, with a weak tropical low over the Carpentaria District. The low is expected to be slow-moving, before tracking slowly westwards across the base of the Top End around mid-week. Monsoonal showers and storms continuing across the north with areas of rain. Heavy falls are possible over the Top End and eastern Carpentaria District which may lead to localised flooding. A hot, drier easterly flow extends across the southern half of the Territory, with moisture slowly returning mid-week as a trough from WA moves over the southern districts.
