Weather Situation A trough will move southwards through the Territory as a ridge develops over eastern Queensland, causing showers and storms to extend to the southern districts for a few days in a moistening northeast flow. The hot temperatures will continue in the south as a low intensity heat wave develops across the south of the Territory. Meanwhile, a weak monsoon trough will move closer to the north coast later in the week causing an increase in showers and storms over the Top End. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 17 January Mostly sunny over the western Lasseter and southwest Tanami Districts.
