Weather Situation The monsoon trough located near the north coast is expected to move south over the Top End by the weekend. Showers and storms continuing across the north, with areas of rain gradually extending inland from the coasts. Heavy falls are possible in the north which may lead to some localised flooding. A humid northeasterly flow is causing showers and storms across the remainder of the Territory, gradually easing late in the weekend. The hot temperatures will continue in the south as a low intensity heat wave develops across the south of the Territory.
