Weather Situation The monsoon trough is located near the base of the Top End, with a weak tropical low over the Carpentaria District. The low is expected to be slow-moving, before tracking slowly westwards across the base of the Top End around mid-week. Monsoonal showers and storms continuing across the north with areas of rain. Heavy falls are possible over the Top End and eastern Carpentaria District which may lead to some localised flooding. A hot, drier easterly flow extends across the southern half of the Territory, with moisture slowly returning mid-week as a trough from WA moves over the southern districts.
