Weather Situation A broad area of low pressure over central parts is directing moist, tropical air over northern, central and southwestern parts of the Territory. The area of low pressure stagnates for most of the week, with showers and storms continuing over all but the southeast of the Territory, most likely in the onshore flow around the north and west Top End. Drier air prevails over southeastern districts, allowing heatwave conditions to develop. Forecast for the rest of Sunday 18 February Partly cloudy over the Simpson and southern Barkly Districts.
